A Valentines Day Look Featuring Urban Decay & Chanel

Valentines day is 2 days away, and I am not going to lie.. I am really excited! I absolutely love Valentines day and making plans for it. Also I love dressing for the theme and doing my make up to match, which is why I have decided to make today's post all about one of the make up looks I am loving for this Valentines day!

So for this look I went for a pink eye with a matching pink lip. I don't tend to branch away from anything but a nude or smoky eye but for a Valentines day look I thought I would experiment a little bit with the beautiful range of colours in the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani palette! I'm sure if you are a blogger and reading this then you will have managed to get your mitts on the incredible palette, but if not then you definitely need to - I am in LOVE with it! So now, I am going to talk you through the 2 products I used to complete this look - Urban Decay Gwen Stefani palette & my favourite Chanel Lipstick.

So lets talk eyes first. I wanted to achieve a really nice shimmery pink look for my eye shadow - lots of glitter and highlighting to make the bold lip stand out more but also because I think a lighter eye can also look really pretty and feminine. So firstly for this look I used the shade 'blonde' over the entirety of my eye, just as a base and for somewhere to build the other colours onto. Next, I started with the colour 'Harajuku' which is the most incredible pink shade into the outer corner and throughout my crease - I used lots and lots of this product, using a damp brush to ensure that I picked up lots of the colour as I really wanted it to stand out. The colour was really build-able and once I got the shade I wanted I then applied 'pop' and 'baby' all over the remainder of the lid and blended this into the 'harajuku' shade. This created a really beautiful shade all over my eye lid which I completely loved and knew would make a perfect winged liner stand out amazingly!! To finish the eye shadow I finally went in with the shade 'bathwater' into the inner corner to really make them brightened and luminous and because it really is the most stunning champagne shade!! If you love quite subtle but still really feminine and pretty make up looks then I would say you really need to give this one a little go! I really do love it!

To complete the look, I then went in with my favourite Chanel lipstick. This one is in the shade 'La romanesque' and is the most beautiful matte pink shade. The colour is super pigmented, and although it is matte it glides onto the lips so easily and smoothly! It also lasts a really long time, without bleeding out into the skin around and I just absolutely love it! I highly recommend Chanel Lipsticks, they really are incredible and you get exactly what you pay for! I can't wait to use mine this Valentines day & to start using it more again this Summer!

I hope you all have the most incredible Valentines day whatever your plans are! Let me know if you decide to re-create this make up look or purchase the products I have mentioned!! Obviously the links will be below for you to go over and purchase them (I like to make life easy for you all!)

Much Love,
