Evening Eye Make Up using the body shop golden palette

You may have read a recent blog post of mine all about The Body Shops christmas blogger event, and following that my guide to the christmas gifts available from them this year. This palette was mentioned in that very briefly because I knew I would be using it so much over this season that it would definitely be able to have its own designated blog post!!

So this palette is the incredible Golden quad and I am absolutely crazy for it! I have worn it almost every time I have worn eyeshadow since buying it!! The shades include rose gold, light purple, dark purple and gold and the colours work absolutely incredible together.. allowing you to create looks worthy of evening and daytime. Since getting this palette I have seriously enjoyed doing my eyeshadow so much more and take SO much time making sure it looks perfect and all of the shades blend seemlessly. The brushes I tend to use to create this look are my spectrum cosmetics shadow brushes, my real techniques gold eye shadow brush and some good old h&m ones. For this look I used the rose gold shade all over the lid - this shade in itself it beautiful and could be worn alone for a shimmery daytime look! I love it! Following this I used the lighter purple shade on the outer corner and into the crease of my eye using my defining real techniques brush - also to create a line which is defined but not perfect I used a folded up cotton pad which I held against the edge of my eye to ensure that product stayed in one place but also to create this edge to the shadow. I then went back with the same brush and applied the darker purple shade over the top of the lighter purple, creating a smoky purple look. I also used my spectrum cosmetics liner brush to bring some of the dark purple shadow underneath my lower lashes to spread out the smoky shade. I ensure that this was blended out as I did not want it to look like eyeliner. To finish off the look and add that sense of glitter and christmas I added the golden shade to a damp Body Shop eyeshadow brush and dabbed this into the inner corner of my eye. I then took a fluffy brush and ensured that the shades blended seemlessly together.

I cannot wait to create this look so much more over christmas!! As well as this incredible quad there is also a silver version with some incredible blue shades in.. which you need to get your hands on if you are not afraid of the blue shadow look. I honestly do recommend you go over to the body shop website or in to store and grab yourselves one of these palettes for the festive season.. they are so beautiful and the look you will create will be unreal! If you don't want to buy it all for yourself.. then why not treat someone to it for christmas if they are a make up lover themselves?? I promise you they will love it!
