Meadowhall Ladies Night 2016 - and Meeting Joey Essex

Recently I attended an incredible event which I was exclusively invited to by the lovely team at Meadowhall. Obviously, I am fairly new to Sheffield - meaning that I actually only moved to the city in August 2015. I had never heard of the Meadowhall ladies night event but upon hearing some more information about it and what it involved, I was super excited to be a part of it and have the opportunity to really get involved with some of the really special and exciting things going on.

So, the event took place on June 9th and was pretty much just a fun filled evening of shopping, eating, drinking, beauty, treatments, offers and more. So, now  I will just walk you through what went on throughout the evening and what kind of things us lovely bloggers had the opportunity to get involved with.

Firstly, we were asked to pop to the managerial suite and given our blogger packs and some exclusive blogger goody bags which included so many incredible products from various different places dotted around the Meadowhall site, including some incredible products from Estee Lauder, Hotel Chocolat, Clinique, Elizabeth Arden etc. Following this we were then told to just enjoy ourselves and take as many photographs as possible!

Our first stop was bubbleology which is one of my favourite places ever to grab a drink, so I grabbed myself a peachberry bubble tea with tapioca bubbles, and grabbed my bestie Aimee the same!! We then set off wandering around and checking out what Meadowhall had in store for us. We headed towards the beauty zone which had lots of little booths set up ready for ladies to queue up and get some exclusive treatments from brands such as Benito Brow bar (which is the love of my life as you know), Nails inc etc. There was also a little stage and presentation area where talks would be taking place elemis, Laura Mercier, Benefit, Illamasqua, Urban Decay, Liz Earle & Aveda and all of this would be presented by beauty blogger Gabriella Pisani. Along with all of the incredible beauty deals and talks, there was also a 'chill out' zone which had incredibly relaxing little massage pods where you could go and grab a little head massage or over clothes massage for free!

I also could not believe how many of the shops around Meadowhall actually jumped on board with this event and gave exclusive discount for the entire evening! So therefore if you did not get the opportunity to attend this year, then you definitely need to make sure you attend next year!! Some of the brands who took part included Dorothy Perkins, French Connection, H&M, Levis, New Look, Reiss, River Island and more!

One of the stop off points for us bloggers was obviously House of Fraser, who had an in house DJ, drinks and sushi and just generally had an incredible atmosphere. We were also shown the beautiful personal shopping suite which was so amazing and you definitely need to check it out if you are looking for someone to dress your bridal party, or you are just wanting that exclusive shopping experience and an experts eye. We also got some exclusive goody bags with SO MANY beautiful samples in, I don't think I will be needing to buy perfume for a really long time. I am and always have been a huge fan of House of Fraser, especially the beauty department therefore to be treat some wonderfully by the team there really was amazing!

Also, upon walking around Meadowhall there was also some incredibly entertainment dotted around keeping the up-beat atmosphere going, including this amazing little singer Alfie Sheard who was wowing everybody with his singing and guitar playing! You guys should head over and check out his channel, hes a star in the making.

A highlight of the evening was definitely having the opportunity to meet and chat with Joey Essex. Back when Joey was in TOWIE I used to have a huge crush on him and actually had posters up on my uni room wall of him (cringin hell). I was actually really nervous about the prospect of meeting Joey, but at first I kind of had in my head that it was a press conference in a little room, kind of private and just a few people dotted around. HOWEVER, it was literally the complete opposite. We were taken to the front of the queue and stood with the photographers and press, which was kind of embarrassing and shocking at the same time because this has never happened to me before, I am usually one of the screaming girls waiting in the line for hours to wait and get a photograph with someone. So, then Joey Essex arrived and everybody went crazy, there was obviously some super fans present - maybe like 500 of them? if not more. Which is what made this whole experience so much more amazing/daunting. We had the opportunity to have 10 minutes chat with Joey exclusively and it involved asking him some questions about his favourite beauty products and what is involved in his daily routine. You can actually check out snippets of our chat over on my channel, because I vlogged it! It was a really lovely chat and a really lovely experience and I want to thank Meadowhall for giving us bloggers the opportunity to chat with Joey, he was really lovely.

So, as well as all of the incredible opportunities we got that night, we obviously got to join in with the shopping experience too and I really enjoyed wandering around some of my favourite stores and picking up some goodies. Such as some bits from the NYX counter in Boots, some goodies from The White Company & my favourite chocolate ever from Hotel Chocolat. As well as shopping, we also went for a bite to eat in my favourite place to grab a bite, Yo! Sushi. With our food we got a free glass of bubbly each as well which was a pretty nice addition to my favourite sushi dishes.

To round up this post I just want to say a huge thankyou to Meadowhall for the incredible opportunity. It was such a lovely and fun evening and I spent it with some of my favourite Sheffield blogging ladies (Aimee, Shannon, Leanne & Lucy). I would definitely recommend heading there next year, if you did not get the opportunity to go this year!! Meadowhall is fab, and has everything you need and more in one place - I love it! I also vlogged the whole event which you should definitely check out to see first hand what we got up to!

Much Love
